Madan Lal is a Banaras based sculptor and installation artist and Emeritus Professor of Sculpture at Banaras Hindu University. His work features recurrent themes based in nature and geometry, with reciprocal influences from India and Japan. Working in multiple sculptural materials such as local Indian sandstone and brick as well as marble, bronze, aluminum and fiberglass, his work moves between representation and abstraction.
