With a versatile creative practice richly informed by artistic traditions unique to his home state of Kerala, Suresh K. Nair’s monumental cement murals and miniature ink drawings offer striking contrasts of materiality, scale and concept. Following his studies in traditional mural painting at the Guruvayur Institute Kerala, Suresh received an MFA at Visva Bharati University at Santineketan in Kolkata and is now a professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
